Hometown: I am originally from Annandale, Virginia.

Favorite Motto: The difference between a flower and a weed is a judgment.

Hobbies: I enjoy playing the cello, hiking, looking at plants, and cooking.

Interests: My professional interests revolve around sense of belonging, transition, and retention of students from marginalized and under-supported communities. 

Fun Fact: I am a classically trained cellist and I was also in the drumline throughout high school and at Virginia Tech. 

Favorite Food: I love most foods, but I enjoy anything that is spicy or savory! 

What I love most about my job: I love that I have the opportunity to not only better the experiences of students, but also make a lasting impact at Iowa State University for students of color. 

What I am listening to: I am currently listening to a podcast called Sibling Rivalry that features two drag queens: Bob the Drag Queen and Monet X Change.
