The Margaret Sloss Women's Center strives to create possibilities
for women to envision and engage in a life that maximizes their
potentials. The Women's Center empowers all women to participate in
the construction of an equitable society through political and
personal systems. MSWC encourages understanding and cooperation
among people of varied socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, ethnic
backgrounds, races, spiritual lives, and sexual orientations. MSWC
provides support and information through active advocacy,
educational outreach, appropriate referral services and a safe
space.

Story County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)

The Story County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) consists of
specially trained professionals from nine agencies who provide a
community coordinated response to sexual assaults. Members of SART
represent the fields of law enforcement, health care,
advocacy/counseling, and prosecution and are employed in
university, city and county governments, medical clinics, and
nonprofits. SART identifies the barriers that keep sexual assault
victims/survivors from coming forward and works to overcome those
barriers through its sensitive, survivor-centered approach.
Student Counseling Service

The mission of the Student Counseling Service (SCS) is to help
students enhance their academic and personal well-being. The
Student Counseling Service provides prevention, intervention,
information, and referral services to Iowa State students. SCS also
provides consultation and training to faculty and staff to assist
them in addressing the psychological needs of students.
Thielen Student Health Center

Iowa State University's full-service ambulatory care facility was
completed in 1997 and is conveniently located on the corner of Sheldon
Avenue and Union Drive on the West side of campus. The Thielen Student
Health Center is fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for
Ambulatory Health Care, and provides information, treatment, and
resources for the ISU community.
Women's Studies Program

The Women's Studies Program at Iowa State University offers both a
major and a minor in Women's Studies. Women's Studies may be
defined as the critical and scholarly pursuit of knowledge about
women from feminist, interdisciplinary perspectives.
