
Our Mission
The Margaret Sloss Women's Center promotes equity on the Iowa State University campus for women. The Women's Center works to promote social change through the following:
1. The creation of community and networks for women
2. Education through institutional training and curriculum development, in collaboration with academic and administrative departments and units
3. Programming to empower both women and men to participate in a fully equitable society

- Promoting social change via networks for women
- Educating the campus community through institutional training and curriculum development to classes, committees and living groups
- Collaborating with community and campus partners to empower people for a fully equitable society
- Connecting to community advocacy organizations
- Assisting people by offering community and campus resource information
- Giving access to free personal feminine and hygiene products (including condoms and dental dams)
- Providing a comfortable and peaceful lounge space for studying, relaxing and visiting
- Advancing gender equity and involvement opportunities through annual programs, services and events
MSWC Listserv
The Margaret Sloss Women's Center created a listserv () to increase the communication between friends, supporters, and those interested in learning more about the activities and opportunities at the MSWC. Postings vary from week to week and time of year. You will learn more about the calendar of events the MSWC is coordinating, cosponsoring, and recommending. You will also learn about ways to get involved, find scholarships, and increase your network or resources at ISU.
