ISU Parents' Association
As a parent or guardian of a student enrolled at Iowa State, you are automatically members of the ISU Parents' Association. There are no membership fees for the Parents' Association. Our programs and events are funded exclusively by contributions and fundraisers. The Parents' Association serves as a link between you as parents and the University. Our mission is to serve and inform parents and to enhance the quality of student life at Iowa State University.
ISUPA Board of Directors
ISUPA is governed by a volunteer board of directors comprised of parents of Iowa State students. The Board of Directors meets three times each year to plan events and programs which connect families to campus. Join us for a fun and satisfying volunteer opportunity. Applications for board membership are reviewed annually at our winter meeting.
ISUPA Executive Board
The ISUPA Board of Directors is led by a democratically-selected President, President-Elect, Treasurer, and Secretary. This group meets once prior to each Board of Directors meeting for planning and preparation.
Annual Report 2008 -- a few highlights
- our directors volunteered 128 hours welcoming new students and parents to the Cyclone family during June's Orientation activities
- expanded funding to both Cyclone Family Weekend events and VEISHEA's professional security services
- connecting families of ISU students to campus through our e-newsletter, Relatively Speaking; the Parents' Advisory Line, a toll-free connection to University resources; and funding college-family receptions during Cyclone Family Weekend
