The Black Cultural Center (BCC) serves as a foundation for African American cultural identity, education and understanding between diverse communities at Iowa State University.
The BCC is a "home away from home" for African American students and a place of hospitality for all members of the Ames and ISU community.
"Make the BCC Your Home Away from Home"
Our "home away from home" policy is our commitment to meet the needs of every guest.
The Black Cultural Center is located at 517 Welch Avenue in Ames Iowa. It is a 7-minute walk from the ISU campus. A bridge between the ISU and Ames Communities, the Black Cultural Center is open to the public Mondays through Fridays and free for use to all community members.
