Discussion and Support Groups

If you or someone you know is gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity/expression, check out the LGBT Student Services Support Groups. These groups are free, private and open to all ISU students. All groups meet weekly on campus and are peer or staff facilitated.

Gay/Bi Men's Group

Gay/Bi Men's Group is for gay, bisexual, and questioning men who are students at ISU. This weekly group meets to hang out and chat about issues affecting gay, bisexual, and questioning men in a safe, supportive and friendly environment. Topics may include coming out, relationships, dating, life at ISU, religion and more.

When: Sundays, 5:00 - 7:00PM
Where: Margaret Sloss Women's Center (Near the Campanile)

Lez-Bi-Real

Lez-Bi-Real is a support and social group for lesbian, bisexual, and questioning women who are students at ISU. The purpose of this group is to provide confidential, unqualified support in an atmosphere that feels safe for asking questions and sharing stories, and to make time for a bit of socializing.

When: Tuesdays, 5:30 - 7:00PM
Where: Margaret Sloss Women's Center (Near the Campanile)

Fluidity

Fluidity is a support group for transgender and questioning students at Iowa State Univeristy. All persons in the transgender spectrum are welcome. Trans staff/faculty are also welcome to visit and lend their support. Who attends the meetings and what is said in the meetings, stays in the meetings.

When: Every Monday Night, 5:30-7:30 PM

QPOC (Queer People of Color)

QPOC is a support group that seeks to address the intersection of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community and the people of color communities at Iowa State University.

When: Every Thursday Night, 5:30 - 7:30PM
