Administrative Hearing
Administrative Hearing - Major Case
An Administrative Hearing is a semi-formal meeting in which relevant facts and information regarding an alleged violation of university policy is presented to an administrator in the Office of Judicial Affairs. Any decisions regarding responsibility and related sanctions are issued as recommendations to the Dean of Students in making a final determination.
In a major case, an Administrative Hearing must be requested by the student or student organization, and that request must be granted by an administrator in the Office of Judicial Affairs. In doing so, the student waives his or her right to a hearing before the All-University Judiciary Committee.
For more information related to Administrative Hearings in Major Cases as outlined in the Student Disciplinary Regulations, please review Section 5.6.
