Hixson Student Board is a new student-organization which collaborates with the Hixson Program administration in order to: (1) Help the Program meet students' current and future needs through participation in programming; (2) Provide programming for Hixson students and staff. Specific programming needs will be decided by each year's executive committee.

  1. President: Organize agendas, run meetings and attend weekly meetings with the Hixson Student Board Advisor. Either the president and/or the vice president will sit and report to Hixson staff. Responsible for organizing one trip for the semester. Help lead a reading group.
  2. Vice President: Run meetings in the absence of the president. Either the president and/or the vice president will sit and report to Hixson staff. In special circumstances plan and organize events or activities like VEISHEA. Help lead a reading group.
  3. Secretary: Maintain and make public the minutes of HXSB meetings, maintain a secretary's log and organize mailings as directed by HXSB.
  4. Treasurer: Work with the executive members and the advisors to assemble an 
    overall budget and present it to the Hixson program, keep record of HXSB funds, 
    deposit all moneys received for the organization, and assist in budgeting for each 
    event. 
  5. Programming Chair: Plan and organize HXSB programs, on special occasions plan and organize events, coordinate with other board members to help other chairs when needed, encourage attendance and participation at HXSB programs, and coordinate with the publicity co-chairs.
  6. Publicity Co-Chairs: Publicize HXSB meetings, social events and other activities, and submit articles for each event to be added to the Hixson newsletter.
  7. Intramural Chair: Plan and organize athletic/intramural events for Hixson students, including prizes as needed.
  8. Webmaster: Update and maintain the HXSB website. Provide photographs to be used in publicity and on the website. Keep and update list of exec board and e-mail addresses.
  9. First-Year Class Representatives: There will be two students who represent the first-year class. They will report to HXSB on first-year Hixson news and report back to the class on board news and events. Encourage attendance and participation at HXSB programs.
