Becoming A Tutor

Tutoring is an excellent opportunity to enhance your communication skills, retain knowledge of completed coursework, and gain the necessary experience to impress potential employers.

Each semester, over 200 tutors are hired and trained to provide academic support to students in a variety of undergraduate courses. A variety of workshops are held each semester to not only better prepare you for tutoring situations, but to gain valuable transferable skills that will help you in other aspects of your personal and professional life.

Tutors who have not yet earned their bachelor's degree earn $8.00 an hour, and tutors who have completed a four-year degree program earn $9.00 an hour.
