Room Scheduling for Special Sessions

When scheduling rooms for special exam sessions, please use the contacts below. NOTE THAT THESE OPTIONS ARE FOR SI LEADERS ONLY.

For all classrooms except Hixson-Lied and Residence Halls:

  1. Go to the Room Scheduling Request Form for Departments: http://www.fpm.iastate.edu/roomscheduling/department_form/
  2. Complete this form as follows:
    • Your E-mail Address: Enter your personal address
    • Alternate E-mail: Enter your personal address and czywicki@iastate.edu; sigrad@iastate.edu
    • Description of Event: Mention you are an SI Leader, your course, and how you will be using the space (For example, "I am Sid, the SI Leader for BIOL 211, and this is an exam review for BIOL 211 students.")
    • Event Type: Select "Review"
    • Date and Time: Be very specific!
    • Attendance, Type of Space, and Room Preference: Do your best to predict what best fits your needs.
    • Comments: Indicate if your new request overlaps with or is adjacent to one of your regularly scheduled requests.
  3. After receiving confirmation of a reservation, it is the Leader's responsibility to:
    • Announce the change in class and on the SI website.
    • Post a sign on the door of the regular session location with updated information.
    • Make note of the change on the attendance sheet.

Notes: This method replaces e-mailing your requests to room scheduling directly. Never use the form designed for Student Organizations.


For classrooms in Residence Halls or Hixson-Lied, use the following contact information:

  1. Draft an e-mail to (or call) the following individuals:
  2. Include the following in your e-mail request, and please carbon copy czywicki@iastate.edu and sigrad@iastate.edu
    • Name (identify yourself as an SI Leader)
    • Date
    • Time
    • Location Preference
    • SI Course
  3. After receiving confirmation of a reservation, it is the Leader's responsibility to:
    • Announce the change in class and on the SI website.
    • Post a sign on the door of the regular session location with updated information.
    • Make note of the change on the attendance sheet.
